Village is for lap babies, crawlers, and walkers accompanied by a parent or caregiver. This is a special program where you and your baby share in the moments that happen through music, movement, touch and sounds.
At Musikids we teach you how to gently teach your baby without you even knowing it! You will learn activities and strategies that will make those stressful times at home or out and about disappear.
We sing, dance and play developmentally appropriate instruments that are musical and fun, all the while helping your baby to make a connection with you and his/her world in a gentle and non-judgmental environment.

This is a very different class to Village – as toddlers are very different to babies! It is OK to let your toddler leave to comfort zone of your lap, take a turn around the room and then come back. The kangaroo and joey are the symbols of the Our Time class meaning that it will be evident that your toddler will ‘bound away and come back’!
Our Time focuses on your child’s healthy emotional development as her confidence, curiosity, self-control, and communication begin to take place. The anticipation of listening is introduced, and with turn-taking activities, social skills begin to blossom!
At Muskids, we play a variety of instruments as we share, move or sit and play along together. In Our Time we sing together with gusto and sometimes quietly. We rock and rest listening to gentle music ... and more!

In 2008, Musikids was awarded the largest Imagine That! program in Australia and New Zealand. We pride ourselves on our ability to understand and communicate with this group of creative thinkers.
These little troopers arrive with a smile, lots of conversation and a home activity that they may have been asked to do with the family at home that week, and leave Musikids with a song and a new beat – all in safe fun!
Imagine That! continues creative musical development while building on preschool learning. To foster fine motor skills, more instruments are introduced as the children are encouraged to handle them with care. Basic concepts like rhythm, pitch, and timbre are developed. Vocal exploration develops their singing voices. In Imagine That!, the thinker, creator and musician in your child come together.

This is a program for whole families with multiple children ages newborn and up. Family Time is a great bridging class for when you cannot enrol each of your chlidren in an individual class.
In Family Time, instruments are played; your family will dance, sing, share and take turns. Watch just how music can bring you closer as a family. Listen to instruments and to each other, learn from their peers and older children, and enjoy music and movement with hoops, scarves and tumble-around play, story time and family jams, puppet play and happy singing.

Musichoir was first introduced in 2009, as Kathryn has had a longing to begin a children’s choir after much experience with conducting high school and multi aged choirs.
“This will be the icing on the cake!”
Musichoir is for the young to middle child who is ready to learn to sing confidently with others in a group. This child must enjoy singing. We begin with structured warm-ups and sing songs suitable for the child’s developing voice – both in unison and in harmony. Opportunities to perform in and around the Musikids community will be kept to a minimum, however all children will be expected to sing together as a team on these occasions.
Those children aged 5 may attend if they have had prior Musikids experience. |
