Zoom Buggy is all about zoomin’ and hoonin’ around with baby (gently of course!) We sing “Welcome Starshine” - our hello song before falling into the ever important massage & exercise rituals we practise every week to reinforce beat as we help our babies develop and define their little muscles!
We can’t wait to help you understand how sounds, (mostly Musical ones), can develop physical, social, cognitive & emotional skills. Watch your baby grow and change with Zoom Buggy and with you as their teacher!
See you in class!

In Toys I Make, Trips I Take, we will use the theme of a toy shop to make our pretend-creations, using rhythm and songs with every imaginary saw, hammer, and nail. The result is building your preschooler’s sense of sequence of events, which is great for storytelling, as well as making his ideas a reality. YES! We construct our own big blue boat in class!
This will be so much fun – especially playing the DRUM! We help your child take care of this special instrument, all the while developing their ability to keep beat.
At Home Materials:
- 2 CDs
- 2 Story Books
(Tippity Tippity Too and If I Had A Big Blue Boat)
- Family Activity Book
- Adventure Playground Manipulatives
(The Toy Shop)
- Drum
- Backpack

Young Child 2 continues from the content learnt in Young Child 1. It can be difficult for children beginning the Young Child course here, however not impossible. The teacher of the specific class you wish to enrol your child into must be consulted prior to enrolment is advised.
The concepts of ta’s and ti-tis becoming actual notes with stems and noteheads are developed as we learn many new songs on the glockenspiel. There is more practise to be done at home and musical games to play in class.
We conclude this course (Young Child 1 & Young Child 2) with a concert held before Christmas each year.
At Home Materials:
- CD
- Music Book
- Green Folder full of activities
- Clear Sleeve folder
- Plastic Games Bag

Junior Series 1&2
Year 1
|
In 2007, Musikids launched this programme into the curricular. To parents and to the Musikids staff, it was a major success, as we were all entertained so confidently at the end of year concerts. We at Musikids are so proud of the musical achievements of the entire Encore on Keys students!
We sing songs with the Onkie characters, with & without the CD. We learn how to play music in our right & left hands – and even at the same time! The children receive a homework book with their practice activities outlined clearly. Every week, parents are required to write comments on what they hear & see as their child practices.
Term 1 & Term 2 will be musically productive as students moved the Junior Series Book 1. In Term 3, students will be ready to move onto Book 2. At the end of the year, all students will be formally prepared for a concert, (in a stress free & enjoyable way).
At Home Materials:
- CD
- Music Book
- Flash Cards
- Plastic Wallet

Keep learning with the Onkie characters. It will get a little harder each week – so keep up your practise & you will remain on track!

In Make Way for Music, families will sing, dance, and move their way through an exploration of several elements of music: beat and rhythm, concepts and contrasts (such as staccato and legato, high and low, the major scale, and arpeggios), the human voice, instrument families, and ensemble.
They'll engage in developmentally appropriate activities that the whole family can enjoy together, including fingerplays, songs, circle dances, story time, and family jam.
In their At Home Materials, families will receive two fingerdrums, one Sing, Play, & Grow home activity guide, two children's storybooks (Drum Circle and Animals on Parade), a hand puppet and finger puppet of Rex (the lion member of Family Time's Jellybean Band), and an instrument-matching board game.
Get the family band together, and Make Way for Music!
At Home Materials:
- Sing, Play & Grow! A family guide to musical fun—a book full of activities and information about child development, as well as fun facts about the songs enjoyed in class.
- Jellybean band puppets: Introducing Rex the lion! (hand puppet and finger puppet).
- 2 finger drums.
- 2 Jellybean Band books with activity pages, comic strips about the band, and stories. This unit’s stories are Drum Circle and Animals on Parade.
