Musikids has brought a love of music into my life and our family. I believe that it has encouraged our son Jack to speak clearly and also love singing and dancing. I enjoy attending the regular classes and watching my son interact with the other toddlers and mums. Our Time is really our time enjoyed together. The bonus benefit is that it has also encouraged my husband to get back into the playing the guitar!

We are constantly amazed at what Jack has learnt and how far he has come with Musikids. Much of this is due to the fantastic teachers – Kathryn especially - they love what they do and this is so obvious in every lesson they teach.

The beautiful music studio makes it so conducive to learning, the teachers are incredibly well prepared and the lessons are always filled with fun and interesting learning activities.  The feedback which parents receive about their children's progress throughout the year is excellent and the end of the year concert gives the children the chance to display their talents and skills to their families and friends.  This is always such a special moment for both parents and kids!

Jack loves music - he can't believe that in such a short space of time he was playing two handed pieces on the keyboard and sounding so professional!

We wish every child had the chance to participate in such a wonderful music program.  It's not just about the music - there is so much more to what they gain at Musikids.  From an early age the kids get to be part of a small group, learn to participate individually and as a group, sit and listen for periods of time, complete small homework tasks, become responsible for their music books and bags, work with others, perform in front of others in a
completely comfortable environment and just explore their love of music.

Kathryn loves what she does!  This shines across in every aspect of Musikids.  She is so proud of the program, of each child and of what they accomplish at music.  No child could get a better introduction to music.  We are so lucky to be a part of Musikids - it is a huge part of Jack's growth and education.

My daughter and I started going to Kindermusik with Kathryn when she was 6 months old. It has been great for us because it has helped us share music together, through singing, rhythm and dance.

The program is so interactive and progressive. As a baby, parent and child attend the class together. It’s a real sharing experience. At 3 years old they go willingly to the class on their own and share their experience in class for the rest of the week

My Daughter will have a good grasp of music at such a young age. This knowledge is just an “add-on” in our schools yet it’s a fundamental part of culture. I’m happy I made the choice to take her to Kindermusik.

Kathryn told me when my daughter was three and a half, she had found her voice. I was a little puzzled by the comment but sure enough the week Kathryn said that, was when she started to sing.

It has helped me as well, to become uninhibited (as you do as you get older) and sing freely again- no matter what I sound like. I started to sing to my daughter as a baby and now she sings to me and with me. Our whole family is singing again.

The program is great! I do believe the teacher is the key and Kathryn is a shining star. Her enthusiasm and pure love of music can’t be faked. I see her commitment to what she is teaching and by personally seeing the way she works with the children anyone can see she loves what she is doing. It makes the program infectious. I have never met a woman with no kids have such a genuine love and connection with all the children she teaches. A true people’s person.

Ella and I started Musikids in 2007 and right from the first lesson we had a ball!  As soon as we arrive Ella’s eyes light up and she is captivated by Kathryn from the time we arrive to the time we go home.  Not only is Musikids a load of fun but it is very educational, I know that Ella is gaining skills for life.  We had no hesitation in re-enrolling, and have recommended it to many other Mums and Dads.

I have watched her come out of her shell in classes over the last 18 months and I believe the music, actions, dancing and instruments stimulate and nurture her personality and all her senses. We love going to Musikids each week because it is so much fun.  Kathryn is so enthusiastic, energetic, encouraging and positive that the children truly learn while having fun.  Kathryn is great at including all children in the group and meeting their individual needs while producing harmony, positive interaction and creativity within the group. 

My 7 year old has just finished encore on keys - a great programme.  I am really impressed with how well she is playing the keyboard and how much she enjoys it.  My 5 year old is about to start young child and my 3 year old is going into Imagine That!.  My youngest is yet to start.

I appreciate that the materials can be re-used by younger siblings and I notice that the younger children really benefit from hearing and seeing what the others are doing.

We loved the second half of last year with you and are sad not to be able to enrol in the next term (clash of activities with my work and Zac's gym at the times your classes are available). Its a pity 'cos Zac still says MUSIKIDS when we drive over the causeway (only to be saddened if that's not where we are going!) and then he asks "where Margy?" a bit cute really. He got a lot from the class. Given his very active nature I wasn't sure how he would go but he eventually learnt about taking turns, sharing and packing things away (we use the song all the time at home, the pool, when we are at friends places etc...) it works a treat. I was astounded at his understanding of quick and slow, loud and soft, up and down and his use of his body to the music (very loosely called dancing at our place!). So thanks for your care and consideration last year, the class really contributed to Zac's understanding of the world and his place in it.

What a wonderful experience Musikids has been so far and will continue to be. Layla (21mths) just loves it and so do I. Everytime we get in the car now she wants to hear "Boom Pa Pa" on the CD player!!! It’s a fantastic program that I have been recommending to everyone!

When your kids are bopping around the living room singing "Fiddle-de-dee, Fiddle-de-dee, the fly has married the bumble bee" at the top of their lungs and then you join in, you know Kindermusik is having an impact on the whole household! I love that you (Kathryn) make Kindermusik such fun for the kids that they can't wait to get there each week. You seem to reach each child at whatever level they are on, and that's a special gift. A friend from Wangaratta told me about Musikids when my first son was born and so when he was only a few months old we started going to Musikids in Wodonga and haven’t looked back. My son Zac loves going to “music” every week and misses it in the holidays asking “music?” every week till we return.
I have noticed many of the activities we do at music come through in many ways during his everyday play. Many times family and friends have asked “Where did he learn that?” and it has been something he has learnt or achieved at Musikids.
When I first heard about Musikids I thought it would be a great opportunity for Zac to be exposed to music as I wasn’t as a child and feel I missed something. I have found that not only is he exposed to music and instruments, as I thought, but he experiences and learns so much more through the physical, developmental, emotional and spiritual areas of the Musikids program.
I have just had my second son and he will be enrolled in Musikids next term so he can learn and love every aspect of Musikids as my son Zac has.

The songs we have learnt take Alix somewhere special. Even after 3 years I still sing to her from the "Dew Drops" program.  I dont think she will ever forget her time within the program and she will never forget Kathryn, whom she loves dearly.

I could go on forever about why our children attend Musikids, but for us there are really only two reasons.
Firstly Kathryn. Her motivation, enthusiasm, and passion for music and teaching is as strong as it was when we first meet her 4yrs ago. Our children love her and she has a special gift of getting the best out of each child and winning them over when they are having a bad day.

Secondly, we love music and our children love music. Musikids enables our children to explore other types of music, different instruments and to enjoy the music through rhythm and movement.
As parents we share this experience with our children and it is these wonderful and special times that reinforce why Musikids is an important part of our children's lives.
